Withdrawal Management

The Withdrawal Management Centre is a non-medical facility that provides a safe and welcoming environment to assist anyone in crisis as a result of withdrawal from substance use.

 

Clients are supported throughout their stay by a professional and specifically trained team within a comfortable residential setting. For many, Withdrawal Management is a safe and easy entry point into the addiction treatment process.

How We Work

  • 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
  • Co-ed facility catering to anyone over 16 years of age
  • Fully funded by the Ministry of Health
  • Clients are not mandated and attend on their own volition
  • Spaces are allotted on a first come first serve basis
  • Length of stay varies per client

Our Services

  • Non-medical support during acute withdrawal
  • Provincial assessment and treatment planning available
  • Recovery education and activities provided daily
  • Twelve step and peer support groups on site
  • Referrals given to community resources and treatment

How to access this program?

Admission Requirements:

Any individuals seeking admittance to the Withdrawal Management Centre must be complete a telephone screening as part of the intake process.

You must meet the following criteria to be eligible for care at The Centre of Hope, Withdrawal Management Centre:

  1. Be 16 years old and older
  2. Have all their life-sustaining medications upon intake – In original containers with name of person, medication, dosage, instructions
  3. Be in crisis, intoxicated or in acute withdrawal as a result of drugs or alcohol
  4. Be able to care for own personal basic needs
